A scarce collection of comprehensive financial accounts for the City of Edinburgh. We have been unable to trace any other copies in institutional holdings.

City of Edinburgh; Municipal and Other Public Accounts Published in the Years 1912-1912. 9 Volume Set. Comprises volumes for the following years;

1912, 1917, 1918, 1919, 1920, 1924, 1925, 1930, 1931-32 (9 Volumes total).

Published by The City of Edinburgh Council, City Chamberlain, Edinburgh. All first editions. Printers include H. & J. Pillans & Wilson, John Baxter & Son, Ltd, Thomas Allan and Sons, Edinburgh.

Each volume is a hardback bound in navy blue cloth with black leather spine with gilt titles. Covers carry Edinburgh City Council crest with motto ("isi Dominus Frustra" - Without the Lord, all is in vain"), and gilt titles. Some volumes with a loose 'With the City Chamberlain's Compliments' slip.

Overall a good condition set, although varies from good to very good. The newer volumes are generally in better condition. Some have sunned covers, some strained hinges, and some wear to leather spines. Text is bright and clean. With red edges to text blocks. Occasional minor faults, but really a pretty good set of volumes for its age.
