Original vellum over boards with hand scripted title to spine. With discoloration and markings commensurate with age, but soundly bound.

In good condition overall. Previous owners' marks to first pastedown and first free endpaper/verso of frontispiece. The very attractive frontispiece image is somewhat fragile - with nibbled edges and crease, and coming detached at lower part of page. Title page age toned and with 1cm closed tear at top. Initial pages with some marginal staining. Final index page also nibbled with edge losses. Scattered marks throughout, mainly marginal. 

With general age toning, but a good copy overall, with clear text. A good example of a very scarce publication.
