Democratic Readings from the World's Great Teachers, W.M. Thompson, 1896
Democratic Readings from the World's Great Teachers. Reprinted from "Reynolds's Newspaper." Compiled and Edited by W.M. Thompson, L.C.C. Numerous Portraits and Illustrations.
"This little volume claims to present a bird's-eye view of the intellectual and moral history of the world. No instruction of this character is given in our public schools, or by any of the numerous religious sects which abound in this Kingdom. It has been written in the hope that it may enlarge the vision of our people, and lead to deeper research in the same direction." W.M. Thompson.
