SOLD

Published by Oliver and Boyd, Edinburgh and London, 1949. 1st edition.

A very impressive, large format volume, full of fold-out maps and illustrations.

The book is in good condition (some flaws hold it back from being 'very good' which don't really affect usage).

Red cloth hardback with gilt to front and spine. with some shelfwear and discoloration to lower front edge, and a small indentation to the lower right vertical edge of cover. Dustjacket is intact, but significantly soiled and discolored with wear, nicks and small losses.

Previous owner's stamp in a few places, along with hand written date to first free endpaper.

Overall the text pages and the impressive fold-out plates are in very good condition - nice and clean. Some age toning to edge of text block. All soundly bound. Some mild spotting to endapers. The principal flaw with the book is that there are a number of pin prick holes which are present in the preliminary pages leading up to the beginning of Chapter 1.

Text in English.

xvi + 115pp + 25 Fold-0ut Maps + LIV Plates. Includes many illustrations and tables in the text + Rear pocket containing 3 Maps; Land Use Survey Maps Nos. 23, 24, 25.
