Published by Garland Publishing, Inc., New York and London, 1977. An unusual publication in that it appears to be a commercial reprint of a thesis submitted in March, 1967. Produced as part of Garland's series on "Outstanding Dissertations in the Fine Arts". First edition thus. Text has retained its original typesetting. Likely to have been produced as a very limited run aimed primarily at academic institutions. Very scarce. 

A very good blue cloth hardback with silver titles to spine. Mild rubbing and bumping. Text is very good - bright and clean, and soundly bound. One thumbing mark area to edge of text block. Illustrated.
