SOLD

Printed in London for Rivington, Davis, White and Son, Longman et al, 1790. Ninth edition. This is Volume 2 only and runs from Book 7 through Book 12, followed by an extensive Index.

Technically in poor condition as both front and rear covers are detached. The text block itself, which still joins the leather spine, is actually in very good condition. Clean and bright, with only occasional mild age spotting and a few scrapes to edges. A good reading copy or rebinding project. All leather is heavily worn, scuffed and bumped, but is the original binding from 1790. Text is complete, with plates, full Index, and list of recent publications at rear. Blank endpapers also still attached to covers. Previous owner's signatures and bookplate to first pastedown. Bookplate of James & Dorothy Damant.

Text in English.

xxvi + 463pp + substantial unnumbered index.

Weight approximately 900g.

Dimensions approximately 217mm high x 143mm wide x 46mm deep.
