A very good hardback with blue leather spine and corners. With raised bands, tooled decoration and gilt title. The boards with feathered marble paper. Endpapers also marbled. Covers with only light wear. Spine slightly darkened. Soundly bound. First free blank endpaper with a torn missing corner at open top edge, and small marginal closed tear at lower edge.

Main title printed on green paper. Text pages are good - all bright and legible, but with scattered foxing throughout - absent in places and heavier at front and rear. With shiny gilt top edge and spotting to vertical and lower edges.
