An entertaining collection of short stories from Irish writer Maurice Walsh (1879-1964), one of Ireland's most successful writers in the 1930s and best known for 'The Quiet Man', adapted for the John Ford movie starring John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. From Kerry in Ireland, he also spent part of his working life in the Scottish Highlands.

A good blue cloth hardback with gilt titles to spine. Some light shelf wear and the spine is slightly skewed. Housed in its original attractive unclipped dustjacket, with removable protective plastic. The jacket is worn and frayed to extremities with some taped repairs to rear. Soundly bound.
