A set of 2 good full tree calf hardback bindings with gilt decals and morocco labels to spine. Covers worn, rubbed and bumped. Labels with wear and chipped at head and tail of spines. The second volume's outer joint at the front cover is splitting, with a loss to the tail of spine. 

Marbled endpapers with small bookplate to top corner, with previous owner's signature. Ex-library with ink stamp to rear of title. Text is good throughout with mild age toning and occasional spotting. Some faded marginal staining along the lower edge fo both volumes. Closed tear to lower corner edge of p.163 in Vol I and occasional minor page flaw.
