A good hardback copy with pictorial cloth cover. Worn and bumped, with the pine heavily faded and frayed to extremities. With printed map endpaper designs. Endpapers and first few pages at either end of the book with some spotting. A little weak in the spine, but all still soundly bound.

Text is generally bright and clean, with clear, high-quality plates that resonate with the human drama of the expedition.
