Far From Home (1941) is a wartime novel by R. H. Newman, published in the early years of the Second World War and shaped by the period’s concerns with separation, uncertainty, and personal resilience. Issued by J. B. Lippincott in the United States and featuring a striking dust-jacket design by the American illustrator Edward Shenton, the book is a good example of early-1940s popular fiction produced under wartime conditions.

A very good beige cloth hardback with printed black and red striped cover design. With a little give in the binding and lightly bumped to head and tail of spine. With original dustjacket - intact and not price-clipped. Some chips and nibbles to edges and rubbed and worn along spine edges, but good overall. Now housed in removable, clear protective plastic.
