The novels were bestsellers of their day, translated and published in 21 countries, and with Dragon's Teeth, the third novel, winning the Pulitzer Prize for the Novel in 1943.

Published by T. Werner Laurie Ltd, London, July 1942. 2nd reprint, following the first UK edition of 1940.

A good black cloth hardback with red lettering. Covers are a little scuffed, with a few marks, and some crinkling on the rear. Some light fading to spine.

Previous owner's signature to first free endpaper.

Text is bright and clean throughout, and soundly bound.
