Published by Heinemann, London, 1966-1967. All first editions. The 8 Volumes offered here are complete, although more companion volumes were issued in the series.

A very good set of red cloth hardbacks with gilt title to spines. The bindings have a little give at the spine, with mild shelfwear to boards. Soundly bound. No dustjackets to the main 8 Volumes, which have bright and clean text pages. Illustrated.

The 2 companion volumes have their original dustjackets. The jackets are rather frayed and worn to extremities, and with some adhesion to the rear board of the first companion volume. Jackets are age-toned and price-clipped. Previous owner's gift inscription to title page of both volumes.
