A complete set of very good green cloth hardbacks with blind stamped thistle design to front and gilt titles to spine. Covers with some mild wear and a few marks, but overall a handsome set. Covers have maintained their dark green colour well. Volume 15 missing some gilt on the spine. Soundly bound. 

Text is bright and clean throughout. With attractive frontispiece images and illustrated plates. One volume with previous owner's ink stamp. Very occasional wear at gutter after frontispiece. Some offsetting to endpapers and mild spotting to text block edge, but a nice set for any collector's library.
