Volume III: Regional Geography. Published August 1945. xv + 587pp. Includes fold-out maps.

Provenance; from the library of the late William St Clair (1937 - 2021), British historian, academic and author. No signature or annotations, but contains 2 airmail envelopes addressed to William St Clair containing Greek stamps. Please see our other listings for related works.

Published by Naval Intelligence Division and these were classified as 'restricted' during wartime and stamped as 'to be kept under lock and key when not in use). Books carry official 'withdrawn' stamps from a later date. Presumed first edition. 

A good complete set of blue cloth hardbacks with gilt titles. Spines are faded and covers a have shelf wear and bumping. Text is clean and bright and maps are all in excellent condition. Ex-library with the usual marks. Volume 3 first free blank endpaper has been cut.

Volume II has a pocket at the rear containing an additional fold-out map of Greece - all intact and in very good condition, but with a pencil annotation and some red pencil lines drawn on the map (possibly potential shipping routes).
