This book is a custom binding bringing together 2 original articles on the subject extracted from a The Proceedings of The Society of Antiquaries in Scotland from both 1907 and 1880. These are the original articles and not modern reprints.

A good copy overall - Red linen hardback with red leather spine. Cloth with bumped corners and a few marks. The leather spine is worn with losses to head and tail, cracked to front vertical joint, and signs of repair. Some offsetting to blank free endpapers.

The text is very good - bright and clear throughout. Some splitting to gutter between the two articles. The articles provide a large number of illustrations of the tokens, with p. 553-604 entirely featuring images of tokens.
