Published by Adolph Marcus, Bonn, 1870-74. First editions - Vol. 1 printed in 1870, and Vols. 2 and 3 both published in 1874.

A near fine set of these 3 volumes which have been bound as uniform brown cloth hardbacks with burgundy and gilt labels to spine. These modern bindings are in fine condition, with only a few gentle scuffs, and the books have been professionally and securely bound into them.

Modern white endpapers, followed by the original texts, with their original fine veined marbling to the edge of text block. Books have a library stamp of a Dr G Buchwald - only on one page of each volume. There are very occasional annotations (very infrequently). Text pages have a little age toning, but are as bright and clean as can be hoped for. Would be difficult to find a better set.
