An important two-volume illustrated catalogue from the Scottish Exhibition of National History, Art, and Industry held in Glasgow in 1911, documenting the contents of the Palace of History at one of the most ambitious cultural exhibitions staged in early twentieth-century Scotland. The work records a wide range of historical, artistic, and industrial exhibits, reflecting contemporary ideas of national identity, heritage, and progress on the eve of the First World War. Complete sets are uncommon and remain a valuable primary source for historians of Scottish history, exhibitions, and material culture.
