Published by William Collins, Sons, & Co., Ltd., London and Glasgow, Clear-Type Press. Undated, but c. 1900. These volumes still carry the name 'William Collins, Sons, & Co., Ltd.' which we think would put them earlier than later printings which would only state 'Collins Clear-Type Press' only. 

Each volume in full burgundy limp leather over stiff card, with gilt titles. Just mild bumping and wear. With gilt edges to text block.

Text is bright and clear. Occasional page crease.

The box is only in poor condition, with faults and losses. With publisher's printed label to interior.

Each volume approximately 700pp (made possible by the use of thin India paper).
