Published by Eneas Mackay, Stirling, 1902. 2nd edition, following the first edition in 1836. Printed by The Sentinel Press, Stirling. The original publication was in 2 volumes, with this being two parts bound as one.

A very good hardback with modern binding comprising blue leather spine with gilt title and blue linen over boards, with raised bands to spine. Slight fading to leather colour of spine and minor signs of wear to cloth on rear. Soundly bound.

Text is very good throughout. Modern marbled endpapers. Some minor spotting to original endpapers and some spotting to rough cut edge of text block. Gilt top edge is clean and shiny. A good quality rebind.
