Very scarce copy of this important work. A beautiful book with gilt buckram cover. xix + 548pp + many plates, fold-outs, printed tissue guards and frontispiece. Very good approaching near fine. A few marks and shelf wear to cover. Foxing to endpapers. Pages are extremely clean and bright overall but the edges show signs of age discoloration (as is common with this volume). A heavy tome at over 2.6kg unpacked.

A presentation copy from James R Ogden, a Diamond Merchant in Harrogate, with a signed dedication to the recipient from 1915.
