Iran-United States Claims Tribunal; Volumes 7-27 unbroken run, 1984-1991, in half leather custom binding, Groitius Publications, Cambridge
Iran–United States Claims Tribunal Reports; Volumes 7–27 — an unbroken run covering the period 1984–1991. Published by Grotius Publications, Cambridge, 1986–1992, and printed in the UK. This attractive mid-series collection documents key years in the Tribunal’s jurisprudence, including many landmark decisions on state responsibility, expropriation, and reparations.
Large unbroken runs of the Iran–U.S. Claims Tribunal Reports are rarely available on the open market, as most were acquired by institutions and specialist practitioners and remain in legal libraries. This set provides an invaluable primary resource for research into international claims arbitration and late-20th-century public international law.
Iran-United States Claims Tribunal; Volumes 7-27 unbroken run, covering the period 1984-1991.
Published by Groitius Publications, Cambridge, 1986-1992. Printed in the UK.
Provenance: Possibly from the library of Maureen Elizabeth MacGlashan, CMG — British diplomat (Ambassador to the Holy See, 1995–1998) and Assistant Director of the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, Cambridge — who served as editor and indexer for the Iran–U.S. Claims Tribunal Reports. Please see our other listings for related works. Each volume carries the gilt initials M.E.M. near the tail of the spine.
The 'Vols 7-27, 1984-1991' range aligns closely with the period during which MacGlashan was prominently involved in editorial and indexing work on the series for Cambridge — suggesting this selection may have been her active working volumes, rather than a random or incomplete run.
A set of fine condition hardbacks which have been custom bound with blue linen boards with gilt rule, and half navy blue leather covering the spine, with raised bands and gilt titles. With new grey endpapers inside. Covers with some light shelf wear.
Older volumes with some light age toning to page edges and newer volumes with text which is bright, white and looks unread. All soundly bound. With shiny gilt top edge. A most handsome set.
Text in English.
Weight approximately 21kg (the set - unpacked).
Dimensions: Each volume approximately 235mm high x 158mm wide x c.30-40mm deep.
