A book of poetry by Scottish doctor, David Rorie (1867-1946). Includes his well known song, 'The Lum Hat Wantin' The Croon', which was popular amongst Scots troops in the First World War, and sung at the Siege of Ladysmith. He served with the Royal Army Medical Corp during the Great War, and was highly decorated.

A very good dark green cloth hardback with blind stamped thistle roundel and gilt titles to cover. Bumped to extremities. In a poor, but scarce, dustjacket - spine is missing and edges are frayed with marginal tears. Covered with a protective, removable, clear plastic wrap. Some offsetting to endpapers. Soundly bound.

Text is bright and clean throughout. With some rough cut page edges, as issued. Small marginal nibbled loss to lower edge of dedication page.
