A complete, near fine condition, 3 volume set in full leather fine bindings. In full tree calf with finely tooled gilt borders and spines. Soundly bound. Mild corner bumping and some wear to outer joints. Covers with some light scuffing and wear, and volume I with some indentations to rear, but professionally blended to be unobtrusive. Soundly bound.
Text is bright and clean throughout. Yellow edges to text block with some minor marks to top edge with mild dust toning. Inside, the endpapers are marbled with gilt dentelle inner edges, and bookplate of Thomas Lancaster to first pastedown of each volume. Light spotting to blank endpapers.
A most attractive set in beautiful bindings.
