Les Aventures de Telemaque, Fils D'Ulysse, par Fenelon, Librairie de A. Pougin, Paris, 1837. 2 Volumes bound as one, complete.
A very smart copy of this important French novel by Francois Fenelon, which has been professionally rebound in russet cloth, and presents the book beautifully.
Les Aventures de Telemaque, Fils D'Ulysse, par Fenelon.
Published by Librairie de A. Pougin, Paris, 1837. The original French novel was first published in 1699.
A very good attractive hardback volume which has been bound in a later russet cloth, with gilt title to spine. Binding is crisp and clean, and everything is soundly bound. The Book is bound with white card endpapers and retains one of the original marbled endpapers (and some notes from the previous owner).
Text is very good throughout - bright and clear, with some occasional light discoloration. Title page with original owner's inscription and a little wear to edges. Text block edges are marbled. Occasional previous owner's pencil annotations. Overall, a very appealing book of an uncommon edition, nicely rebound.
Text in French.
