A good hardback with leather spine and corners, and marbled paper over boards. Covers are bumped, rubbed and scuffed with wear to outer joints, which are starting to split at the head and tail. Marbled endpapers, split at inner hinge.
With portrait frontispiece and attractive vignette title. Followed by full title page. Text is bright and clean throughout making for a very readable copy. With gilt top edge. With occasional marginal annotations and some notes by previous owner on the last few pages.
