A good hardback with leather spine and corners, and marbled paper over boards. Covers are bumped, rubbed and scuffed with wear to outer joints, which are starting to split at the head. Marbled endpapers, split at inner hinge.

With guarded portrait frontispiece and attractive vignette title. Followed by full title page with 2cm marginal edge tear at top. Text is bright and clean throughout making for a very readable copy. With gilt top edge.
