Printed for the British and Foreign Bible Society, from the last corrected edition of the Society in Scotland for Propogating Christian Knowledge, and sold to Subscribers only, at the Society's House, London, 1821.

A good copy of this scarce Gaelic bible from 1821. Full calf leather with embossed Bible Society stamp to cover. Covers worn, bumped and rubbed. Missing leather corner covering from rear corner. Cracked inner joints, and soiled to endpapers and text block edges.

Presentation inscription to first free endpaper (dating to 1825). Text block itself is a sound block, with some age toning, minor spotting, some folded corners and some staining to first and last few pages. Despite imperfections, an attractive copy of an uncommon bible.
