A near fine set of these beautifully produced books. Full leather binding with blind embossed decoration and gilt design to front and rear. Red morocco title labels to spine with gilt, and raised bands. A few scuffs and wear marks, but in lovely condition. 

Text pages are beautifully bright and clean in this high quality production. Endpapers are marbled. Volume 2 with some cracking to front inner joint, but all soundly bound throughout. Neat scripted owner's signatures to 1868 on first blanks. First volume with portrait frontsipiece, the 2nd with an engraved church scene, with some foxing, with original loose guard.

Blank endpapers with mild age spotting. Text is beautifully clean.

Text in English, with some Latin.
