A Collection of Jessie M. King Ephemera; Posters, leaflets, cuttings, articles, cards etc., 1980s-2000s.
A substantial and varied collection of modern ephemera relating to the Scottish artist and illustrator Jessie M. King (1875 – 1949), one of the leading figures of the Glasgow Style and an important contributor to the wider Art Nouveau movement. Produced mainly between the 1980s and early 2000s, the group includes posters, exhibition leaflets, guide booklets, magazine articles (both in-situ and as extracts), press cuttings, and card reproductions of her work (both used and as new). Together they reflect the continuing interest in King’s distinctive art and design, and would make an excellent reference or display resource for collectors, researchers, or admirers of her work.
In addition to those items photographed, we also have a number of duplicate posters and leaflets which will also be included.
Generally produced from the 1980s to early 2000s.
