A fine attractive hardback volume which has been bound in a later green cloth, with gilt title to spine. Binding is crisp and clean, and everything is soundly bound. The Book is bound with white card endpapers.
Text is bright and clear throughout. Contains some lovely tissue guarded illustrations in colour and black and white; Illustrated title page, 8 black and white plates and 2 colour plates. Some light offsetting to some of the tissue guards. There are also 2 panoramic fold-outs printed on translucent paper, and a fold-out colour map (all as called for). Gilt top edge.
Overall, a very attractive book.
