The Bajan Class was the first year intake at Aberdeen University following the merger of King's college and Marischal College to form the University of Aberdeen in 1860. 'Bajan' is an old Scots word, meaning a first-year student at a Scottish University, but is now only used at Aberdeen and St. Andrews Universities.

Printed at the University Press, Aberdeen, 1896. first edition. Scarce. Worldcat only notes two library copies.

A very good brown cloth hardback with gilt to front. Some scuffing, bumping and small marks. With handwritten letter to the recipient, dated to the date of printing in 1896, and informing them that the price is one guinea per copy. Offsetting to endpapers. Soundly bound.

Text is bright and clean throughout. Uncut edges as issued. Illustrated with portraits of the Bajan class.
