British Deer and Their Horns, by John Guille Millais, F.Z.S., etc. With 185 Text and Full-Page Illustrations Mostly by the Author; 8 from Drawings by Mr. Sidney Steel, 2 by E. Roe, and Photographs. Also 10 Electrogravures and a Coloured Frontispiece by the Author and Sidney Steel, and a Series of Unpublished Sketches by Sir Edwin Landseer which were formerly on the walls of Ardverikie.

A good folio sized book in brown cloth covers with printed deer motifs. The book has been professionally rebound with original brown cloth mounted onto new boards with linen spine, with loss of lower 2.5cm of original spine cloth. Some bumping and wear.

Some foxing to endpapers and damp staining to first few leaves preceding main title page. Text pages are very clean and bright with very occasional flaw. Some foxing to the Electrogravure plates. Occasional small nick or minor damage to edge of a page/plate. Some creasing to plate facing p. 204 (not on main image). Gilt top edge of text block. Soundly bound.

With beautifully detailed images throughout. An impressive volume.
