A fine attractive hardback volume which has been bound in a later teal cloth, with gilt title to spine. Binding is crisp and clean, and everything is soundly bound. The Book is bound with white card endpapers. Text printed on a high quality paper, still uncut at top edge.

Text is bright and clear throughout, with outstanding quality engravings, protected by tissue guards, with no foxing. A few light finger marks to half title and some mild age toning to page edges.

Overall, a most handsome volume, in unusually smart condition.
