Fifty Years and More of Sport in Scotland is the Duke of Portland's engaging memoir of deerstalking, salmon fishing, grouse shooting and country pursuits between 1880 and 1932. Written with charm, detail and a keen eye for landscape and tradition, it offers a first-hand record of Scottish field sports at the turn of the century, illustrated with fine plates and supported by two fold-out maps. Both a personal reminiscence and a valuable historical source, it captures a vanished era of Highland estates, stalking lodges and sporting travel, making it an appealing volume for collectors of Scottish sporting history.
