A very good complete 6 Volume set of Plutarch's 50 biographies of notable Greeks and Romans, written circa 1st Century A.D. 

Tan brown leather spines and corners with raised bands. Marbled paper over boards with marbled edges to text block. Covers are scuffed and bumped, but look attractive. Text is bright and clean and books are soundly bound. Frontispiece portrait of Plutarch to first volume, with offsetting to title page. Marbled endpapers.
