Votive Buddha Tablet from Northern Thailand or Laos, 18th Century or earlier, B.

Scarce example of a very old votive clay tablet depicting a Buddha from Northern Thailand or Laos. 

Unclear whether this is fired or sun dried.

Very unusual to find these in the West.

This one is at the latest 18th Century, though we suspect it may be considerably older.

Housed in a square presentation box with lid = 9cm x 9cm x 3cm.

Approx 7.5cm high x 3.7cm wide  x 2cm deep.
