Pair of Vintage Kinco Brass Vases in Persian Style, 22.5cm high.

SOLD

A very attractive pair of vases bearing the manufacturer's mark to base 'Kinco'. Kinco was a British trade name of British Metal (Kingston) Ltd, who produced fine reproductions of Asian and Persian designs. These are easily mistaken for authentic Asian or Middle Eastern pieces. These are thought to be from the 1920s. These are also commonly referred to as being 'Indian' or 'Indo-Persian' in style.

The two vases are of tall cylindrical form, each featuring 3 male figures with elaborate foliate relief and blue enamelled background. Each vase with 3 handles.

These are a bit taller than more commonly found (most are around 15cm tall). condition is very good - a few minor dings around the rim and minor wear and markings which do not detract from a very pleasing appearance.

Dimensions: 22.5cm high x 9.1cm diameter (at the rim) and the handles are approximately 2.2cm wide in addition.

Weight approx 0.49kg (each piece).

20th Century c. 1920s.

Provenance: British Art Market. Private Scottish collection.
