A good full leather hardback with gilt and raised bands to spine, with title label. Covers with minor shelf wear and rubbing with some bumping. A little worn to head and tail of spine . All soundly bound, with some strengthening tape to endpapers. No splitting to inner joints.

Presentation copy (Haverfordwest Grammar School), with label to inside front cover. The book is dedicated to Captain Francis Newton Allen Cromie of the Royal Navy who was killed defending the British embassy in Petrograd in 1918. His photograph and an Evening Standard article about him are fixed into the book.

Text is clean and is nice and bright throughout - near fine condition.
