Provenance; from the library of the late William St Clair (1937 - 2021), British historian, academic and author. His signature to the first pastedown, alongside the bookplate of Anne Renier and F.G. A good red cloth hardback with printed titles to spine and gilt Thames and Hudson emblem to front cover. Spine is sunfaded. Slight skew to spine; lightly bumped, with a few minor marks to cover. Soundly bound. No dustjacket.
Text is bright and clean throughout. Dust-toned top edge. Some pencil annotations to rear pastedown, with a 'Times Library' stamp. Small handwritten 'AR' to last free endpaper in ink.
