A near fine full leather hardback with tree calf covers and a gilt tooled spine with red morocco label. Gold borders to covers. Just mild shelf wear. Marbled endpapers, matched to text block edge.
The text is clean and bright throughout and is beautifully presented. There is a presentation bookplate affixed to a blank free endpaper causing the paper to crinkle on that page. Plates are very attractive. With a tissue guarded frontispiece. A handsome volume in a lovely binding.
