Printed for R. Ware, J. Peele, J. and P. Knapton et al, London 1751.
After the Preface is a 12pp story of 'A Relation of the Apparition of Mrs. Veal', attributed to Daniel Defoe - a ghostly tale.
Original calf hardback with 5 raised spines. Rather attractive signs of old wear and tear to the cover. Text block has been rebound into cover at some point with new fixed endpapers. On the first free endpaper in neat old ink script is written “Price 4/6” on the top left corner. Text is good - does have some staining and foxing as would be expected with a book of this age, but a pretty clean example of its type.
xii + 504pp.
Dimensions: Approximately 201mm x 134mm x 42mm.
