Also included are a number of published reviews of the book - original newspaper cuttings supplied by Durrants - a Press Cuttings service, to St Clair. There is also a handwritten note from two acquaintances to whom he must have loaned the book. Please see our other listings for related works.
Published by Oxford University Press, London, New York, Toronto. Printed in Great Britain. 1974 first edition. Part of the Oxford English Novels series.
A very good red cloth hardback with gilt. Would be near fine except there are areas of offsetting due to the old press cuttings being held in the book. Jacket is good with rubbing, wear and some minor tears and fading. Offset marks to inner flaps. Text is nice and clean and firmly bound. A fascinating author's copy.
With some St Clair pencil annotations, which should be seen as an enhancement.
Weight approximately 690g unpacked.
Dimensions: Approximately 214mm high x 155mm wide x 17mm deep.
