An inscribed presentation copy dedicated to Professor A. McIntosh by the editor, Fumio Kuriyagawa. Angus McIntosh has written their own name and date of receipt on the first free endpaper. He was a British academic, specialising in historical linguistics, and we was the first Forbes Professor of English Language and General Linguistics at Edinburgh University.

The book is "the first attempt to reproduce in modern print Benet Burgh's English metrical version of Parvus Cato, Magnus Cato as printed by William Caxton in ca. 1477".

A very good paperback with card wraps. Cover with some sun discoloration and a few minor marks and impressions. Editor's inscription to front cover. Text is bright, clean and soundly bound.

Text in English and Latin.
