Enid Blyton found time to write 4 novels under the pseudonym of Mary Pollock (Mary was her middle name and Pollock the surname of her first husband. The books proved popular and after the secret of the true name of the author eventually leaked, they were later reissued under the Enid Blyton name.

This is a collection of 4 of these novels as follows:

The Children of Kidillin, by Mary Pollock (Enid Blyton). Published by George Newnes Limited. 2nd edition, 1946 (undated in the book, but identifiable by the jacket design). Ilustrations and cover by Edith Wilson. 96pp; 

Three Boys and a Circus, by Mary Pollock (Enid Blyton). Published by George Newnes Limited. 2nd edition, 1946 (undated in the book, but identifiable by the jacket design). Ilustrations and cover by Edith Wilson. 96pp;  

The Secret of Cliff Castle, by Mary Pollock (Enid Blyton). Published by George Newnes Limited. 1st edition, 1943 (undated in the book, but identifiable by the jacket design). Ilustrations and cover by W. Lindsay Cable. 128pp; and; 

Smuggler Ben, by Mary Pollock (Enid Blyton). Published by George Newnes Limited. 1st edition, 1943 (undated in the book, but identifiable by the jacket design). Ilustrations and cover by E. H. Davie. 128pp.

Overall a good set of 4 early edition coloured cloth hardbacks, housed in removable clear plastic protective sleeves:

The Children of Kidillin; A very good brown cloth hardback, with light wear. Soundly bound. The dustjacket is also very good with some wear and nicks to extremities, and with light wear. Price clipped. No inscriptions. Text is bright and clear throughout. Some light markings to text block edge. 

Three Boys and a Circus; A good blue cloth hardback, with light wear. Soundly bound. The dustjacket is very good with some wear to extremities, and with light wear. Not price clipped. Previous owner's inscription dated to 1948 on first free blank endpaper. Light spotting to endpapers. Text is bright and clear throughout. Book Club ink stamp to rear endpapers. Some spotting to text block edge. 

The Secret of Cliff Castle; A good blue cloth hardback, with fading, some markings, and light wear. Soundly bound. The dustjacket is good with some wear and nicks to extremities, and with light wear. Not price clipped. Previous owner's name on first free blank endpaper. Text is bright and clear throughout. Some wear to text block edge. 

Smuggler Ben; A fair hardback with printed paper over boards, with bumping, wear and missing printed spine. First edition denoted by cover design and printed 2 shilling price on the front cover. Split to gutter at front inner hinge. Text is bright and clear throughout. Paper is age toned with some chipped corners. Some dust toning to text block edge. Some tape remains were covers joins spine, and some ink writing on rear cover.
