A very good set of maroon linen hardbacks with blind stamped rules to covers and gilt titles to spine. Slight bumping to extremities. Minor offsetting to endpapers, but a very nice copy free of spotting. Soundly bound.

Text is bright and clean, and the tissue guarded portraits are very well produced. Occasional and infrequent small pencil annotation to margins.
