A very good full leather hardback with gilt tooling, raised bands and title label to spine. Covers are shelf worn and bumped with some scuffs and scrapes and stain mark to lower corner on rear, but still an attractive book. Endpapers and pages edges with feathered marbling. All soundly bound. No splitting to inner joints.
Text is clean and is nice and bright throughout - fine condition. Previous owner's script inscription to free endpaper and small bookseller's stamp to endpaper. Some offsetting opposite frontispiece. Attractively illustrated.
