A very good of 3 volumes with leather spines and corners, with burgundy chagrin cloth over boards. Raised bands, and incised decoration to spine, with 2 gilt morocco labels. Covers with some wear, scuffing and bumping, and rubbing to cloth. Leather with a few scrapes. Marbled endpapers and text block edges. Volume 2 endpapres split at inner joint, but all soundly bound.
Text is very good indeed - just occasional light age spotting or offsetting opposite plates. The steel engraved plates are very high quality. An attractive set.
