Published by the Institute of Buddhist Culture, Mandalay, Burma, 1955, Buddhist calendar 2499 BE. Presumed first edition but not certain - Intro is dated 1952 but publication date is listed as 1955.

Scarce hardback bound in black cloth with gold printed lettering. Intro pages including map + v + 200pp + fold out table.

Introduction by The Right Honourable U Nu, the Prime Minister of the Union of Burma, with facsimile signature.

Very good condition. Some pages beginning to loosen as this type of binding is rather brittle (due to the poor quality of Bumese binding), but all intact. Text pages very clean with just some age discoloration.

Signed dedication on the title page by the author to Paul R Reynolds (presumed to be the well known New York literary agent).
