A Dozen Dogs or So by Patrick R. Chalmers is a charming collection of light verse celebrating the character and companionship of dogs, accompanied by twelve attractive colour plates by Cecil Aldin. First published in 1928, many of the poems originally appeared in Punch, and combine humour with an affectionate understanding of canine behaviour. The illustrations complement the text with warmth and lively detail, making this an appealing and engaging work for dog lovers and collectors alike.
